I hope this is okay--I'm looking for a fic I read years ago.  Its Don Massarado/Archie, set before Duchess and the Devil.  I cannot find it anywhere.  Help?  Please? 

Does anyone remember a fic where Archie is a figment of Hornblower's imagination? I seem to recall seeing it, but don't think I actually read it. Can't remember whether Hornblower made him up entirely, or whether it picked up after Retribution
